Little Waihi Fun Day # 2.....
Day two began with another game or two of Boofer Tag then we divided into two teams and some serious raft-building and racing was undertaken:
L4 and I had to pop off for a bit and while we were waiting at our rendezvous point, we climbed the iconic Giant Kiwifruit Slice at Te Puke's Kiwi 360. At the top we found a birds nest and had a bird's eye view of our car below:
After lunch we had some awesome fun in the water. Those of us who wanted to go kayaking got the kayaks into the water:
And the tubers set off on their merry way:
The kayakers 'Rafted Up' - all lined themselves up and held eachothers' paddles, then some brave souls walked along the 'raft' of kayaks:
A10 pretty much got the hang of it after a while:
And wondered if it might be faster paddling with his hands at one point (Hellooooo!!!???):
The tubers and kayakers all met up down at the jetty and mixed it and matched it with each other and some of the locals:
Corey tried to Staple Bomb some of the kids who were giving him some grief (all in the manner of fun):
Then we made our way back - some more leisurely than others, lol!:
We got dry and had some Afternoon Tea then we had some fun piling the tubes on and around eachother:
And we had impromptu races like you wouldn't believe - there were Running Races:
There were Rolling-A-Mate-In-A-Tube Races:
There were Rolling-Your-Own-Tube Races:
There were Using-Your-Tubes-As-Shoes Races:
And there was general hilarity trying to kick your tube up and have it land over your body via your head:
Who would have thought you could have so much fun for free - count us in for next year guys! Here's to the fabulous Jen and Corey for all their hard work and efforts, you guys ROCK!:
