Windy Canyon, Hot Springs and Medlands Beach.....

Some photos of our trek up and through the aptly named "Windy Canyon" - spectacular stuff, though, really steep and craggy with awesome views:





After lunch we walked for about 40 minutes in to the Hot Springs, because of the rain we'd had recently they weren't as clear or warm as they usually are apparently:





Then we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at our favourite beach on Great Barrier, we'd decided, Medlands Beach:









We nicknamed this giant rockpool the Mermaid Pool. It was Awesome (yep, with a capital A!) It was calm, warmer than the sea proper, and amazingly deep, we could do big bombs into it:
