Spikey The Hedgehog.....

Is the name of a book we love that The Lad used to have read to him when he was small, and so we read it to ours now that they are small(ish) - the very same copy, no less.



The girls found this hedgehog this afternoon and unbeknownst to any of the adults in our house, brought him inside and made a home for him in a cardboard box in their bedroom filled with all sorts of lovely hedgehog hidey-places. Unfortunately (fortunately?) he was discovered before bedtime and we let him back outside to carry on his normal hedgehoggy kind of life.

Lately, using the doors to enter our house seems to be very passe?! The hedgehog was traipsed out through the French doors, and the kids scrambled back in through the windows, with the help of the trampoline ladder:
