Hittin' The Slopes.....

On our way to the mountain this morning we got the long-awaited text to tell us that Aunty Sokchea had had their baby - Welcome James Sovan :o)

We went straight to the mountain but it was pretty bad weather up there, so we just had half a day skiing. The kids were a bit shocked to realise that it isn't always the brilliant sunshine they are used to when Dad brings them down for the day, having the luxury of not going if the weather forecast is less than desirable.

Because we'd booked The Mountain House three weeks in advance we just went anyway. After we got frozen to the bone skiing in the snowstorm, we arrived at the house:


We baggsed beds and bedrooms, unpacked our stuff, put all the soaking wet gear in the Drying Room (every house should have one of these) so it was magically clean and dry for the morning, and met the 'neighbours':
